Are desktops pretty much obsolete for the home user?

well Laptops are only for Business and Portable Entertainment and less performance BUT in Desktop you can push your performance more than limits that mean you will get unleashed performance to play games and HD videos etc........ and you can customize your system when ever you want.... but not the laptop.... so Desktop is the BEST...........
