I really need some help ! <3?

I really like this guy for the past like 5 months . and like he likes me , he almost asked me out but didn't he used to be my neighbor and best friend and he moved away . So we only text. What can I say to him to get him to reconsider asking me out . we allways start off with him texting me late at night saying " Heyy . or somthing like heyy(: " what should I say from that all the way to discussing stuff that would make him like and want to date me . .?
