What should I do about my boyfriend tickling me all the time?

I've been with my bf for almost 3 months and it's going great but there's something that's getting kinda annyoing. My boyfriend tickles me all the time, and I know that boys tickle their girlfriends but he's doing it too much. When I go to his house he asks me to have bare feet, and I'm ok with that but then he always does things grabbing my ankles then tickling the bottoms of my feet until I can't breathe or holding me down so I can't move and tickling my stomach. Plus I'm really ticklish. I've asked him why and he just says I'm cute when he tickles me. Should I let him or should I tell him to stop? And does anyone know why he might like doing that so much?
